Earth Day in LRV
In celebration of Earth Day, Special Service Area 27 is offering complimentary composting services and technology recycling to the community.
Composting
Block Bins will be located at Southport Plaza (3410 N Southport) from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM to accept all compostable items. If you are new to composting, no worries! See here for a complete guide on what can and cannot be composted. If you are unable to make it, Block Bins offers many convenient locations for composting around the city year-round. Technology Recycling
Newtech E-scrap Recycling Inc will be set up in the St. Alphonsus parking lot at 2920 N. Southport from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Newtech E-scrap Recycling accepts most types of electronic equipment and ensures all information is properly deleted or destroyed from the products before recycling. Commonly recyclable items include computer equipment, personal electronics, office equipment and industrial equipment. See here for a complete guide on acceptable items for tech recycling.

Earth Day Clean Up at Horner Dog Park Starting at 9am on April 15th
The Horner Dog Park clean-up will begin at 9am on April 15th. Volunteers are being asked to bring rakes, shovels, and wheelbarrows, if they have them. Please contact danschreiner@yahoo.com to reach out/RSVP.
